Wire vendor

Going off a tip from someone here I am ordering wire from remington industries. Good prices on some stuff. What I am finding is When I got to pay it is under a different name and when I went to pay with paypal its under another name entirely different. What gives?? Anyone use them before?

I have bought from them several times. I think maybe four different times. The first time or two was on ebay, but after the second order, the rest has been direct. I'm not sure about the different names, but everything else so far has been okay. The guy I dealt with is named Josh Hagen. He seemed very accomodating, I think their business is kind of new. They also deal in Azonics parts, which I use some, and they seemed to appreciate the business. I had no problems whatever. Mostly what I bought was Elektricsola 42 SPN. The wire was good and exactly as described. Depending on what you are ordering their prices are about like BAE, which I also still use.

I ordered some of their enameled wire. Not the brown plain enamal. Hope its ok to use. I got 42 and 43.

Yes, I have bought wire from them, and About to go broke saving money with them.

They make transformers, and probably how they started buying wire at wholesale.
I have found their prices are better on the regular site, than on there ebay site.

Their price on awg 42 SPN is $12.67/LB. That's pretty good.

Thanks Big Teee. thats the name that was on the invoice they sent me and I questioned it so he sent me another one with the company name. I may just order some of the SPN too. Thats what I kinda wanted but didn't see it. I'll ask next buy.

I´m in Austria and I recently got some 42 awg pe from them. They are a very good company to deal with and prices are reasonable. A good firm to deal with.

What does their 42 AWG wire mic at? Any tonal difference to the red poly wires?

They sell Elektrisola Min/Nom wire.
It varies like everyone elses.
If you want something special you will have to get it somewhere else.
They don't sell the Nom/Max size wires.
Larry did order me some 42 HPN Natural, that mic'd .00297.
Which is big for this day and age.
You can email or call them they are very polite, and will work with you.
If you want Nom/Max, I think you can get it from MWS, but It will cost you.

Just right for Strat Neck Single coils.
That was HPN.
Their SPN is much smaller.

Oh, that was HPN, not SPN? SPN diameter is what I'm looking for. Various vendors consistently sell certain diameters, you can rely on Wirenetics stuff to be fat which is good for some things but not others. MWS stuff is thin. Mojo PE was really fat....

Basically what determines the wire size is.
Wire manufacture, and size category.
Wire Vendors that order wire from Elektrisola and Others, will either order Min/Nom, or Nom/Max.
Most wire vendors order Elektrisola Min/Nom.
BAE, Remington Industries, and MWS order Elektrisola Min/Nom.
Within the Min/Nom Category they will receive what wire Elektrisola sends them.
This wire will vary some within the Min/Nom Category.
I understand that MWS does Stock some Larger wire in the Nom/Max Wire Category.
I think in PE, not sure about other wire Types.
Basically the Wire Vendors get what wire the Manufactures send them.
Now if you are talking Special order, All Bets are Off.

The wire size is on the end of the spool in MM.

in any given gauge, is elektrisola's SPN about the same build thickness as their PE?

I see no reason to pay for PE if the same size wire (and by that, I mean insulation build) in SPN is the same size.

remmington's price difference between the 2 (in 42awg) is $30 bucks a pound!

anyone know?
