Have manufacturers recommended winding tension changed over the years ?
Browsing through the pages here ,about proper tension & I keep reading in many threads that states 30 grams of tension & a little more is a good tension for 42 gauge wire

& IMO I think 30 grams of tension would probably be a little too tight or the max tension I would ever use for pickups

MWS recommends between 17 to 22 grams
Essex recommends only the max @27 grams

I see Elektrisola has a recommended tension of 34 grams
NEMA MW1000C metric
