Self-Employment Assistance, Employment & Training Administration (ETA) - U.S. Department of Labor

This is currently only available in certain states so far, as participation is still voluntary. If it is not available in your state, there may already be a bill in committee or about to go on the floor for a vote. I urge you to contact your representatives to get it happening.

If it IS available in your state, you could use this to help grow your business. It pays a weekly allowance similar to Unemployment; and could help you a great deal if you are having trouble getting off the ground due to not being able to fund the initial growing pains of starting a new business.

I for one, will be applying for this, once Vermont finishes passing, and implements the program.

Just thought it might help other people starting a pickup biz? I never really use the other parts of this site; I just come here. Kinda like going to your favorite bar to talk, instead of the town common.
