    I use barbwire.

Have you experimented at all? What were your results? My preference depends on what magnets I'm using.

No need to be contentious man. That has no place here.

I've done some with PE and they came out fine; but "experimenting" can get expensive.

I just wanted to see what others have done.

He May want to know what you have tried instead of just answer.
        I agree.
Tell us what you have done.
I would rule out the HFV, and HPN.
I think your down to SPN, and PE.
Beyond that I would just start bending wire.

Yeah I hear you man; Like I said, I did a few with PE. I just thought I would see if it's a waste of time to mess around with the others... I figured the heavy would be though...

Yes, beyond a few celebratory "yay I made my first one" posts, I didnt find much. But maybe I just suck at searching forums...

Gibson has been using poly wire on their p-90's since the 60's
I do think the stock Gibson p-90's sound ok

These P90s are wound with plain enamel coated wire.

I have Bieber locked in a cellar right now.
I called the Cops to turn myself in but they said it was OK and I can keep him.

Can anyone suggest a source - in the US - for soapbar covers that fit Gibsons well... that don't have the really tight radiused corners - besides Gibson's own covers?

Kinman covers should fit but I don't know where he gets them or if he sells them. I make wooden ones for an outrageous price if you get desperate.
                        I'll bet Jason Lollar knows.

Has anyone had a Stewmac soapbar cover ?.I wonder if they have the same corners as Mojo's covers ?

Do Mojo covers fit - either the regular ones or the "vintage" ones?

I emailed them a few days ago asking and have not received a reply...
                            Thanks.

The issue, for anyone who's curious, is that Gibson covers have a .281" corner radius (about 7mm). Most of the Asian knockoff covers used a .250" corner radius and they are a tight fit into actual Gibson routs. It's fine if your pickups are destined to drop into Epiphones. I just ordered a sample cover from Allparts. I'll have it in hand tomorrow.
