#42 wire on PAF's is it single or heavy build?

    You can alter the 4 brass screws for better grip, an torque them down to make them touch, not loading the bobbin with extra material. Or use longer as stated.

      Not sure if I am totally right but, the wire made in the 50's and 60's can't really specified as heavy or single build. They used to make it under much wider tollerances given the technology so I sure it varied quite a bit as far as the enamel build. Now days you can specify much more specific tolerance and the manufacturer can make it within your exact specs unlike the early years. I personally prefer using thew single build enamel wire for my PAF tones but I have no idea if it is close to the build on 50's or 60's wire.
