      Must have been drinking when they made this one too. There were metal shavings hanging off the magnets- A wierd plate- The worst P90 Ive seen in awile!! Stuff fun stuff- You want a sample of this wire Possum, send me some of your secret stash moonshine : )

        WTF???? What happened to it? I'm guessing a rewind gone wrong, way wrong!!

        Looks like red poly wire, did they use that in 67?

            wire...

            Actually I have one of those, they were called "Laid Back" pickups with the clear bobbins, they were trying to make P90s popular again in the 70s but players wanted nothing to do with them mostly, its some kind of poly wire very reddish looking, nice wire really....

              I had two P-90's from a 70's SG that someone had given me when they replaced them with humbuckers. They were also the clear bobbins, wound to about 9K. Dave is right, most players hated p-90's back in the 70's.

              I had an old ES-330TD with chrome dogears. They were wound about 8K.. sounded like big Strat pickups. Real nice in the neck position. The pickups also didn't have baseplates... they just sat under the cover.

                      No,not working. The first picture you can see the wire with the cover on....Tis a shame it was'nt working......Works now though : )
