    ....

No yer wrong, that photo is from an evil being in the Zeta system, we don't hang out with them at all, they drink, party and play blues albums over and over til they're worn out. The more enlghtened of us play disco and polka music, and drink cow's blood from earth. There are many different versions of us in the Zeta system. We think Earthers are stupid, we only visit here waiting for you to blow up the planet, there's alot of betting going on in the universe on that one. I thought for sure Bush 2 would have done it by now, but there's still time.

BTW, Big John from MLP found this little thread and they have started the bashing party there, name calling the whole nine yards...It kills me people have nothing better to do than troll forums looking for something to start a war over...Someone there ended their post with get a life, I think that needs to be applied to some on that thread.. Has anyone from there noticed our moderator doesn't step in and ban someone for their opinion here, because opinions are just that, not everyone in the world has to agree with one opinion..The great blunder head george dubbya has that same mentality, he thinks the world should agree with his way of thinking, hence the problems we are having now....Anyone see what I am saying here or am I just at the end of a limb hanging on for dear life??

Big John, Bobbo and the other hall monitors at MLP prove my point. When I was posting there I would get PM's from other members apologizing for these kind of pile on parties at MLP.
They don't make them like they used to... We do.

I dont think anyone is anti Will, but anti MLP, as the forum has a terrible attitude towards other pickup makers.

I'd like to go read the latest thread but honestly I'm not gonna go back there as the forum has too many residents of Holiday Inn Expresses.
I'm sure responses are typical WB fan boys tossing dodo at everyone else.

Why is it that Les Paul forums have the shittiest vibes to them.
Most of the LP owners I know are good people...

Wow it's worse than I thought over there. They are now eating their young.

If you want to be part of the smallest circle jerk on the internet MLP is the place to be. Between hand winding and MLP both of Will's hands are busy full time. Leave him to it, he loves his work.

Absolutely every winder that posts here has at some point been pummeled at MLP and ended up apologizing to the MLP gang for a phantom offense. If MLP was your girlfriend you guys would probably beg to have her back after she fucked your best friend. Really, wise up and realize how pathetic posting at that place makes you guys look.

Yeah, I tried to stop the bullshit but have gotten threatened and called a bunch of names there.

BCR GREG called us all pussies. I really dont think him and his small stature would do that to anyones face but hey, internet comandos what can you say LOLOLOLO

I'M SO DONE, ME AND Will talked about an hour today and theres a lot of misconception about him. He is a good hearted guy who loves what he does but the guys who make the trouble are always the same ones over and over there. It's not Will fault what his customers say and do so he shouldn't be attacked for it. His customers however should sit back and look at what they say and do and how it makes Will look. If they were his true friends they would stop the childish name calling and other bullshit and realize they just make things worse. If you really like Will, promote him in a positive light, not by attacking anyone who has an opinion different than your own... Ok so now read this MLP

Not that many people have figured this fact out...I'm a big believer that this plus the coil shape size and winding tension have a lot to do with the PAF sound. How they're wound is less important, the materials used more so.

It's comical to listen to the way people go on about PAF tone, I often have to alter a vintage style bucker to be further from a PAF sound, just so that it matches some customer's opinion of what it should sound like....even though they've never heard one....funny old world.

                              We have a moderator?

Oh yeah... the good old Dr. Or Peter Sellers... I seem to get them confused.

We don't need no stinking moderator... we moderate ourselves! In moderation, of course.

So far it's been working pretty well.

Oh yeah... Happy Father's Day everyone!

                              The moderator is watching...

Yeah.. but what is the PAF sound? It's a myth. There is no "PAF sound"... there's a bunch of pickups with PAF labels, and they sounded somewhat different from each other. Some where exceptional, and some were so-so.

All you can do is pick ONE PAF tone, and try and emulate it.

I think many of the winders here into that stuff know what they are talking about and have gotten a good composite of that early humbucker tone.

I remember being in a band back in the 70's, and the guitarist had a 50's LP, that was originally a gold top with P-90's, that someone had refinished brown, and converted to humbuckers before he got it. It had early patent label pickups, which I believe became available after market in the early 60's. How different were those from the same pickups with PAF labels? He replaced them with DiMarzio PAF's, which he felt sounded better. So it's all relative.

That's my option, and I don't make PAF pickups, so I'm totally unbiased.
