Wide Range Mag Thread Size

Got a guy wanting some Wide Ranges. What is the thread size of the screw-in magnets?

i believe they are Size0.182”x 0.688” M5 x 0.8 Threaded

Sensmag just sent me samples of these. Package says 10-32 x 0.625. But measuring them they are smaller? I 'm measuring them as .182" or 4.6mm x .63" or 15.87mm.

Probably metric M5 threads. Is it FeCrCo material?

While you didn't answer my question, I will answer your's: Original widerange magnet material was CuNiFe, a much softer alloy than AlNiCo which allowed threading with conventional tools. Doesn't seem to be available anymore.

The OP is asking about thread size/pitch, not the metallurgy of the magnets.

Thanks Mozz for posting the dimensions for the sensmag product -- I have been trying to choose magnets for a similar application.* I read that they make these in AlNiCo 2, and 6. If that is correct, which grade are these? Do you have any idea if they will sell small quantities, or what they would cost?

They are not cheap & each magnet cost about the same price as an Alnico bar magnet .

I'd be a little surprised if Fender used metric threads anywhere in the 70's. The 10-32 sounds about right for a .1875" dia but not at all surprised that the finished dia would be .182". However the M5 threads should be closer to .190"

What is the reversible or recoil permeability of these magnet materials?
The larger the number, the higher PU sensitivity.
