Am I the only one that's fine with the name as it is...?

I have no problem with it, either.

The *only* thing I remember from the Engineering Economics class I took a million years ago is that the best course of action often is "do nothing".

This is the only Forum Category in the MEF that labels the Poster not the task being posted.
The Name Beginners Corner, puts you in one of two categories when you post.
Either the beginner asking the question or the advisor answering the question.
All other categories, you post by Topic, not by your pecking order!
When the request was made back in march of 2011 for a new category?
The intent was, an area for basic winding, hobbyist, and general pickup discussion.
Of a not so complex or theoretical nature, to relieve the main pickup making area.
So think about it next time you post in this area?
Are you Posting as the Beginner or as the Advisor?
            T
            PS:
However you feel and think, this has fired some interesting, and Peaceful discussion!

It's only happening to me on this forum. What browser are you using?

I did some quick tests and it seems to only happen for me on Safari, and didn't happen on Firefox.

I use Firefox, and I have not had any issue with double posting.
Sometimes it takes a long time for the post to finalize.

Maybe I'm not as sensitive as others- but of all the things I've been called, "Beginner" is far from the worst.
When I see "Beginners' Corner" I expect to find basic info- and I wouldn't care if it was called "Noobies' Nook" or "Dummies' Dungeon".
I've sometimes felt a bit embarrassed posting to other categories, and wished they also had a "Beginners Corner".

Whoa, are you saying this category is just over a year old? Wasn't there adequate discussion "way back then"?

OK, so pick a title that doesn't indicate pecking order.
I would shy from "Winding 101/Fundamentals/Whatever" because pickup building involves more than just winding.
(I originally came here looking for info to fix existing pickups, and have avoided (re)winding whenever possible.)
How about a simple, basic title, like "THE BASICS"?

Google Chrome is full of bugs.
And I would not recommend that anybody use it, until the bugs are solved.

I was mainly referring to the:

For the life of me, couldn't figure where that reference fit with this Thread? WTF?
