The Name "Beginners Corner"

I was mainly referring to the:
"Lost and Electrocuted"
For the life of me, couldn't figure where that reference fit with this Thread? WTF?

Maybe it's parody of the Gophers fight song, like the version of Colonel Rutger's March that starts "She was a virgin in her Freshman year"....

Maybe "Lost and Electrocuted" refers to beginners- but that would be more appropriate in the amp builders section.


But, hey, back to the original discussion:
Is there going to be an actual democratic election on this name-change issue, or could someone take our comments under consideration and make an executive decision?
I'd hate for the name to be changed to "Winding Canucks" or "Fighting Gophers".

It should be noted that Chrome uses Apple's WebKit, which is also the browser engine in Safari. But apparently it's also happening with Firefox, which uses the Gecko engine.

If you are starting out with anything, you are a beginner. The task isn't a beginner. That doesn't even make sense.

Why are you making a big deal out of it? We were all beginners once. Why take it personally? It's the truth. It's not a bad word.

Why don't we look up what the word means, and stop making it into something it doesn't:

Beginner: noun, a person just starting to learn a skill or take part in an activity.

Does that match people just learning how to wind pickups? It absolutely does. So what's the problem?

Maybe you would like another word that means the same thing?

How about; novice, newcomer, fledgling, neophyte, starter, learner, student, apprentice, trainee; recruit, raw recruit, initiate, freshman; tenderfoot, tyro; postulant, novitiate; informal rookie, newbie, cub, greenhorn.

Should it be "pickup winding for Dummies"? Beginners Corner is just fine.

Yes the Devils are the NHL hockey team & there in the Stanley Cup finals now against LA ,It's only about a grand a seat $$$

Yeah, I actually know who they are, because they are from NJ. But I never watch sports and generally don't know one team from the next. Just doesn't hold any interest for me. But I have been to a basketball game with the Lakers playing against the NJ Nets quite a few years ago.
