I need a box to hold circuitry for a DIY onboard mic for acoustic instruments- to be housed in a cell phone holster I found at the local dollar store. Approximate dimensions are 22 x 48 x 80 mm; 7/8 x 1-7/8 x 3-1/8 in.
The 7/8 in dimension tolerance is most critical; bigger won't fit in the holster, smaller won't accomodate a standard XLR connector. Other dimensions are maximum values.
I've got an Altoids Chewing Gum tin that might work- just wondering if anyone has other suggestions. I keep thinking there must be some common object I haven't thought of.
Thanks,

If someone could point me to an "official" enclosure that works, I'd appreciate that too.
