  • Behringer DDX3216, PSU failure, any ideas ? :-)

    Hi,

On my DDX3216, when I switch it on, it flashes on/off twice per second, and, like a cold diesel engine, after a while (5 min), if I switch it off and on 5 sec later, it works.
It needs to warm before boot ??

Randomly during use, the problem's back.

I think it's the psu, but , and after reading your posts about the famous C48, told as 47uf/25v 105°, I went to see mine ... it's a 10uf/16v .

So, please, any ideas about this kinf of on/off flashing problem ?

(and is there several models of power units ?? or have i totally misunderstood the C48 location ? I draw a violet dot on the photo below ? NB : my model is 220V )

I changed the capacitors close to the heat sinks, but the problem remains.

All schemas of the DDX3216 I've found are here
(may be of general help for others).

    Any help would be great.
    Thank you for reading.

    Monitor the power supply voltages.
I believe you will find that at least one of them is varying when the Led's are blinking.

      Tks for your answer.

The problem is solved. The truth is that I don't know why.
Before mounting the PSU back in the console, I changed some ceramic capacitors due to what I read from Nisse (thank You Nisse if you read it ), about the C52. Then, went to re-solder quite everything to avoid bad contacts. And when plugged back, it worked. I've been bad with it (off/on/off/on...) but it seems stable after a few hours.

Even if I don't know precisely why it works, I prefer when it works without khowing why than when it's not working, and knowing why (if impossible to solve).
