    That sketch shows the pickups wired to one side of the tone control, and the capacitors that go to the volume control on the other, that's wrong. there should only be two connections made to the tone control. One from the pickup wire/output capacitor, and the other the tone capacitor.

      So the pick up wire and the output capacitor need to be wired to the same side of the tone control?

        Yeah, otherwise your adding 250K in series with the signal which would reduce the output voltage.

            Yeah, but the solder lug that is used is going to determine which way it works. If it's on the wrong lug, the tone will be "ON" turned clockwise, instead of "OFF". Counter-clockwise rotation of the standard tone control takes away the treble and would then be "ON". If your drawing is from the backside view, then it is correct.
