    Enzo, except that when the chip is firmly glued down, Chip Quik won't help. The device I dealt with had to be snapped out before it would budge. I agree that it would help for the normal case though.

    Zac, without the schematics, you're pretty screwed. Like I said earlier, last year your support team helped out with a copy after sending back a release form. Now, after four appeals, they still wouldn't help. Why not send a schematic with a restriction on posting it elsewhere? And having a local repair shop spend a couple hours on an amp is just not cost effective anymore. Cheaper to get a working unit elsewhere. I hate having to scrap things though.

      As a Behringer service center I an VERY familiar with their construction. I have no trouble getting ICs off with the Chip Quik. The stuff stays melted for more than enough time to twist the IC, which poops the glue free.
      Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
