Line 6 Spider Valve M2 112.

Hello there. I've only just joined this site so finding my around a bit here.

I need a circuit diagram for a Line 6 Spider Valve Mark 2 112, specifically the front panel board. I am getting no joy from Line 6 Europe so thought I would ask on here. Incidentally, Yamaha UK (Dear Dusty) is now taking on service for Line 6 products in the UK but they don't have any info as yet as this change has been so recent.

Problem I have is the pot that selects the "Clean" "Blues" "Twang" "Class A" sounds has collapsed and I've no idea what it is. I'm guessing at B 68K but it is so hard to get a decent reading from it so could really do with some help here.

I think that you have in mind rotary encoder with switch.
Line 6 does not provide its manufacturer's part number,
but you can try to order it using in-house number 24-12-0010.

Hi Doctor! Thanks for your reply. No I know what you're thinking. That switch is on the front far right of the front panel underneath the LCD display (preset push to edit). The part I need is on the far left. next to the guitar input. there are three other "effect selectors" pots, I'll take measurements from them and assume they used the same part for the one I need replacement. I'll try and figure out how to put a pic up on here!

The part you need definitely seems to be a potentiometer
The sch & parts list doesn't seem to list the value, but all these pots go into an A_D converter, so they should all be the same value, and even then, the value is probably not critical, as the pots go between 0V & 5V and the A_D looks at the wiper voltage, the pot is a voltage divider only. Depending on the voltage at the pot, the micro then turns on the appropriate "mode" led & selects the mode (crunch / clean etc)
The pots look to be ALPS type RK09 or similar, should be easy enough to find on digikey (or similar), or your local parts store.

Most of these Line 6 amps use the same 10k pots which are available from Full Compass.
