That schematic is going to prove to be difficult to find. What's the matter with the amp? Perhaps someone here has had some experience working on this model before.

Ah, ok. Sorry that wasn't helpful.

hum on the clean channel--ive narrowed it down by shorting grids to ground....seems to be at the 1st tube or before it

Is not the 6262 similar enough, at least in the V1 stage? If not, the Bugera 6260 is supposed to be a clone of the Peavey 6505. Maybe the Peavey schematic will work?

I don't have the amp in front of me, so you might have a look and compare.

Ahhhh. Is it one of those "fancy" black circuit boards?

Yeah, those black boards suck eggs.

I have always thought those 'blue' boards that Behringer fancies where the pits.

Just goes to show that it can always get worse.

The 6260 has a single signal path through it, like a 5150/6505, the 6262 has two channel paths like the 5150-2/6505+.

The second page power tube circuit is the same on both. Also the third page with the switching control is the same.

What are you trying to fix, we might be able to help.

hum on the "clean " channel...i shorted grids to ground to isolate...all the 12 ax7s will kill the hum except for pin 7 on the 1st tube--grounding that one increases the hum . tubes have been swapped.

another oddity-- when on Clean..the hum only appears from 5 to 8 on the Clean gain pot. Its gone at 9 or 10 .

ive tried moving the wires around with no change....thinking lead dress..

                        bad chinese pot ??

Pots don't generally make hum, ut anything is possible. Learn not to blame Chinese-ness for problems, it will only distract you.

Does the volume control to zero kill the hum?

V9 is the input tube, pin 7 the input from the jacks. From pin 6 it splits into the two gain controls, which a relay selects to feed into V9 pin 2. I find it odd that hum on clean but not on lead.

its possible theres hum on the lead..very hard to hear with all the gain hiss

                            yes volume kills the hum

if i push in the Crunch switch (on clean ch) it gets even louder

SO it is from before the crunch switch.

Look at the original 5150 Peavey schematic, the circuits are identical, just different part numbers.
