In the schematics in post 7 the amp LEDs are expecting a + voltage at point D despite someone marking -40V. The LEDs in the footswitch schematic are expecting a negative voltage.
It doesn't matter whether it's + or - as long as all the LEDs are oriented the right way.

Dmeek... Thank you for taking the time to mock up the drawings.

Point D is -40V as per the schematic...

Dmeek.... Once again, my thanks. Your diagram in #17 did the trick. Everything is working now.

That schematic of the footswitch was sure confusing to follow. I like the way you sketched it out in the earlier diagram. As you can see, I tried to model my mockup so that it looked like a schematic but you can also look at the pins on the Carling switches and make the connection.

        Case close !!! :-)

The wiring of diode D11 on the schematics is incorrectly shown.

VK..... Take a close look at the RG 80 circuit that you posted and compare it to what I posted for the Switchmaster 150 - the circuit for the diodes is not the same. Perhaps this is why I had confusion at first - thinking all Randall amps used a similar scheme for the LED indicators. That is not the case.

            Thanks!

D12 is the one that is reversed

                You're right. D12 is reversed
Now I have seen Click image for larger version Name:	doh (seti se).gif Views:	0 Size:	2.8 KB ID:	932448 that the FS-5 is powered with negative voltage.
