    Getting somewhere now...

    I think Steve Conner hit it on the head-- when I replaced the filament wires the oscillations are gone! So many of the wires in this amp look really oxidized and ready to disintegrate. I've replaced most of the power supply wiring now which must be an improvement.

    Thanks a lot again for all the help, I'll write again once everything is back in order...

      a little off topic but just a quick note upon reading this. my 6l6gc's are running 517-520V for years now.
