Vista and Macs

Greg Simon should comment on this, he works at some company that does hardware for PCs and they have abandoned Vista, too buggy and major problems for now.

The great thing about Macs is that they run Windows software faster and better than any PC does. We do websites for real estate agents and they are all abandoning their PC's in favor of Macs running windows. Problem is that running windows on a Mac you suddenly are also open to getting PC viruses...

Its not that we've abandoned Vista....its that we're waiting to try it until the bugs that we all know will be there are worked out a bit. If it was up to me we'd be using more Macs, but most people don't know them so thats a hard sell. Funny thing is they're more apt to try Linux instead of a Mac, which is fine if you've got the time to learn and maintain it. I guess thats what they pay me for......

And it's practically the same thing! Only with a better window manager. I think people have misconceptions about Macs, and most of those people have never even seen one in person, or only have experience with something like System 7.5 from 1994 ...

There are some serious laws in the U.S. about price fixing. How about you folks stop suggesting pricing to one another! Just cut it out. Plenty of other stuff to talk about besides pricing.

Crumbhorn, welcome to the group! Nice to hear from you. You wouldn't be part Yank now, would you? Good aggressive move with the pricing. Some of the reactions remind me of why the sun does set on the Empire now.

I'm a pickup buyer, not a pickup maker. I hope your business model works out well with your low pricing. If the pickups are good, I'll buy some. Why pay more?
