Not me, I worked on my car. Time for annual inspection and I have one little solenoid valve that I have to clean to be sure it will pass. So I took it off and disassembled it and put it back. I also took note of Ward's post and stopped at 14 coats on that guitar body. I am letting it cure for a few days now, before wetsanding and buffing. I spent the rest of my day doing stuff around the house but I did take time out to read a bit in a book that my son gave me for my birthday, it is "Clapton's Guitar" by Allen St. John. It is about a luthier named Wayne Henderson. He has a 10 year waiting list, and though he doesn't charge a particularly high price, if his guitars ever come up in the aftermarket they go for $100,000 plus. So he must be pretty good at it. He is also supposed to be a fantastic guitarist. Also once he makes you one, you will probably never get him to make you another. And it doesn't matter how big a name the person has. This book is about him building a guitar for EC. He mostly avoids machinery and uses his pocketknife. But he uses the best wood available anywhere. It is fun reading. By the way it was only in the low 90's today here in the Dallas Area. Earlier in the week it was 104 and 105F for the highs.

How many guitars do you need? Just one more.

                Good Afternoon:
It has been a little cooler here today, but still broke 100f.
I got down in the shop and finished putting the Blade/screw bobbin bucker together.
I was going to take some pics of it apart, but I went ahead and put it back togheter.
Before I took it a part I had one full creme screw bobbin with 42SPN, and the blade bobbin full of 43 PE.
I wanted it all black so I wound a bobbin with 43SPN.
I finished it and went ahead and put it in the strat.
I will try to take a pic of it.

                  Do you recommend 250k pots?
Also when you turn down the J Pot, I think the P would be Humbucking?
So when You turn up the J, do you lose the Hum Canceling?
                  Thanks,
                  T
                  250k is standard.

The P is always hum canceling. The J is never hum canceling, even with the P.

Best way to fix that is to make a split coil J.

Here's My test guitar with the reworked blade bucker in it.
It's a guitar that I change all the time, so not the prettiest Girl in the Room.
                    It's a Hoot to play.
The neck blade is low wound with 42spn, the middle is your typical neck or middle A5 SC pickup.
The Bridge Blade bucker is 43 gauge around 16k with A8 Mag.
Pretty hot, but still cleans up well, and surprisingly not muddy.
I have the neck and bridge wired to the mini dpdt switch, so I can play them in single coil mode.
                    Lot's of tonal options.
Picture not real great with flash here in the house.

Yep, I am a lefty, but we have several around here.
Ward in the land of Oz is a lefty, Stratz is a SouthPaw, I am, and Copper is a Lefty but learned to play right handed.
Don't know if we have anymore or not.
Now if we had one of those jmaf home brew Amps to put it through we would be set.
                        Do you make any pedals?

I'm making a new case for it now.

I'm feeling left out now. You guys have the Hendrix gene and I don't

A friend of mine here in town grabbed a guitar for the first time when I had about 13 years of playing and practicing. A couple of years later I meet him and I couldn't believe how he was playing. I asked how the heck do you play like that, and develop such a good right hand, picking with fingers and pick and all the tricks in just 2 years.... He said well since I'm a leftie and I play right handed my left hand was the easy part so I practiced the right hand twofold

As far as something you can carry around, I only built one pedal (Coincidentally it was a gift for this left handed player I just mentioned.)

Unfortunately Your not talking about me, or my playing.
I still just pick and flounder around.
My goal is to have real good tone, so when I screw-up it doesn't sound so bad.
