i´ve rewinded the bridge pickup of the second-hand guitar i bought. it didn´t had any kind of potting.
wel, here are my 2 new winded bobbins...

i don´t know if i mounted it correctly. i´ve soldered the en of one bobbin, with the start of the other.
it´s got 13.7 kohm. i´ve wounded the first one with 7050 and the second one with 7150 turns. almost the limit it admited.

i think i should open a new thread, cause im already winding. what would you do¿

thnx all for all the help and the inspiration you give me¡¡¡

i´ve just mounted my handmade humbuker, and i´ve no words ... its only... a rewind of a piece of sh** but... wouh.... 13,7 kohm... and in the clean chanel.... its... so clean... and in the drive chanel its... like... wagr¡.
no hum even less than with the gfs crunchy rail that it had.

i´ve potted it with only parafine. and the magnet, is like... a ceramic, y guess. but i don´t know. i changed the screw pole pieces for slugs, and seems that worked.¡¡¡ i´m so happy¡¡
now, i´m almost sure that i can wind p90´s for me and a friend of mine.
      thnks all¡¡¡

If you use two conductor wire I think you need to connect the two finish wires. Use the coil starts for hot & ground.

          I'm with you there

I got really lucky with my first couple of pickups too. One is totally useable in neck or bridge. The other is a little too bright & thin but still useful for some sounds and it's interesting as a "ranging shot". Both have more bite and character and are generally just more musical than the flat, muddy humbuckers I replaced.

            Here's a diagrams of humbucker.
Did you wind both coils the same direction?
Your color code can be however you want it to be.
