Just to show that it's not just the French who get rude with idiotic tourists... A bit late, but I had to share this. My Alsacian (don't call me French!) grandparents were in the states for grandpa's 75th. We lived in south central PA at the time, and they were going to Philly in a week, so of course we took them to visit Amish country. At the local "touristy" open air market, grandma got everyhing cheap cuz she knew how to haggle like the locals. Tourists were floored.

On the way home, we passed a horse&buggy. Grandma decided she wanted a picture. So she rolled down the window and hung out the window with her camera, grandpa and I making sure she doesn't fall out. She's out the window from the belt up, telling dad to slow down so.she could see inside the carriage. Her photo? An elderly Amish woman flipping the French grandmother the bird.

The relationship between hosts and rude tourists knows no national lines. Just wanted to share that, before we start bashing the French (ornany other country) for being rude pompous jerks.
