This is something I feel an essential tool for a well-equipped shop. When the function is needed and there isn't one, it will make you angry.

This isn't an often used tool in the shop, but comes in real handy when the function is needed.

The powercord saver. Gosh once you have the right tool the frustration is gone. Heylock pliers or something like that.

I do think I need to add one of those to my tool kit though. Precision oiler.

You got it. Heyco Strain Relief Removal Tool. I couldn't show the other side as the name HEYCO is present in the casting of the tool.

Actually the pointed tip is solid, no thru-hole. Years ago, before ebay clamped down on what could be sold to anybody, you could buy the older generation hypodermic syringes and needles. Those are great for fine weight oil for an oiler in precision machinery. Gotta have a medical sales broker license to buy that stuff nowadays.

I didn't mean to do a sequence of tools in a row, if that was what you're referring to. I'm guessing these first two tools pertinent to a woodwind instrument player aren't so obvious, as these aren't electronic related. Although what most of us work on/service ARE musically related, so I thought they're fair game.

I meant everyone posting pics of more or less obscure tools.
                          Let us know the purpose!

Really like to know what the tools are for.
Generally tools are (meant to be) problem solvers.

Might post some more own tube or guitar related tools.

Here's another tool you don't need often, but wish you had when you need one. This tool will save a lot of cussing and crawling around on the floor.

I think I know, but might not know the correct term.
                              Is it a snap ring/circlip spreader/remover?

Yes, that's it. I call it a C-clip tool, but there are probably other names. They've also been called "Jesus clips" by many techs for obvious reasons. I couldn't even count how many times one of those damn clips went flying back in the VCR days and I had to hunt for it.
