  • Guyatone PS-024 Distortion H schematics

Does anybody have the schematics for the Guyatone PS-024 Disortion H pedal? Something in the back end is almost totally shunting my effect signal.

Here's a link to a clone build document that contains a schematic. It may be exact, or it may be at least similar enough.

Unfortunately it's not really that similar at all. I've pulled a few electrolytic caps to test due to the age, but they're small and tested fine. I guess my next step is pulling diodes or transistors.

Test them in place first, pulling and reinstalling them is likely to caause damage. And don't assume you have a bad part. You might, but you might also have a little bit of stray solder bridging two points, or a cracked copper trace.

I've gone over the wiring and the boards quite a bit, don't visually see any issues. I've tested continuity between points, checked for cold solder joints, and did some audio probing. I'm finding various levels of the distorted effect, all seemingly working properly after the pots and sliders, but getting shunted down to incredibly soft at some point. I'll keep digging...

Post some photos of the insides and both sides of the circuit board
