Delta Blues Not Switching

My DB switches when switching with the channel button but when I plug in a 5150 footswitch it goes to the clean channel and wont switch. I figure the footpedal is wrong but my question is this. As long as it switches manually when i get the right footpedal it should work, correct?

The footswitch isn't complicated - 2 stomp switches wired to a stereo (also called TRS) 1/4" plug. Each switch connects either TIP (Tremolo) or RING (channel) to SLEEVE (gnd).

The right footswitch should still work if channel switching works at all. You could make your own, too.

Does your 5150 FS have LEDs and stuff? Like if the LED was in series with the relay it might not be able to pull it in?

The 5150 fs does have led's. I just got a vox 2 switch pedal that does not have leds and it still doesnt switch. What should I look at first?

The vox pedal is wired exactly as you said Don Moose. Would it matter as far as the channel switch being either tip or ring?

I know it sounds like a stupid question, but have you got the channel button pressed in when you hook up the footswitch? (As you probably are aware - if it ain't pressed, it overrides the footswitch)
