yep, just make sure you move the test lead on your meter over to amps.

And make sure to move it back to Volts afterwards.
Before you measure plate voltage.
Oh how many meter fuses have I had to replace over the years for not doing that.... More than I want to admit.

Yep, I did quite a bit of damage down the years to meters and to amps slipping from pin 3 to pin 2. Eventually the muscles learn.
