Round over on baffle speaker hole?

Does rounding over the speaker hole in the baffle make a difference for an internally mounted speaker. I wish I could try it but I used my final pieces of wood to make different rear baffles.

    Thanks.

rounding over might be expected to decrease baffle diffraction, which has a greater impact on mid and high frequencies. Mackie and Tannoy do this quite a bit:

Having "no lip" as opposed to a rounded lip likely helps more. Using molded plastic actually makes it cheaper to make these (less material used)

Tonally... not very much difference, if even audible with guitar amps.
The bad thing (especially with only four hole mounting speakers) is that the screws that hold your speaker in have less purchase to keep it all together. TEE nuts help but the area around the screww thread is still a bit weaker.
