    mxr analog delay 118 schems.

    hi,I`m new here,have been searching for months for diagrams for my old delay pedal.it`s a model m-118 the big green one searched on this forum found two people that should have them.sent both messages but no reply.can anybody help or point in the right direction.Thanks

    Be aware though that there may be more than one version of that pedal. Maybe someone else here can elaborate or correct me, but I seem to remember some used SAD1024 BBD chips and others were based on the (apparently nearly unobtainable) R5101.

    Weakest link in the pedal is likely to be the large assortment of CMOS chips used for dividing down the clock and switching the resistors used in the filter. The Ross delay uses the same general "trick" of having a switched-resistor filter that tracks the delay time. As delay is increased, the filter cutoff for the wet path is lowered so as to maintain the optimal bandwidth for the specific delay time. Bloody clever design.
