Hiding the worms

Just wondering if anyone has any good tips on concealing lead wires before final taping.

I usually have the end wires end on the outside of both bobbins, solder everything together and tuck them underneath the bobbins to hide them.

As you know, there just isn't enough room to be able to easily hide them. Does anyone have any techniques for making this task a little less cumbersome and more effective?

Also, while visiting Duncan's forum, there were some customers who complained about wires that were visible....so it seems that folks don't like to see the worms.

I know it's a PITA but that's how I do it too. I can usually get them stuffed in there pretty well (under and between the bobbins). Trick is not to make your pigtails too long.

Kevin, covers were developed for people like that. Those who removed the covers and got all shitty about the hookups were traditionally driven out of town and sent to boot camps. I would imagine John McCain would bring back this policy if elected.

I like the way some humbuckers I've sen have printed circuit boards under the two bobbins to make the connections. That eliminates a lot of the mess and clutter. Doesn't look vintage, but the way it's been done could use updating.
