Is there any way to convert a Boss ME-10 to run on 240V without having to use a step-down converter or replace the internal transformer?

It looks like there is a tap on the PS primary for 240V. You'd just have to rewire the primary. Here's a schematic and the transformer wiring is on page 22.

I think the schematic is saying you need a 245-638D0 transformer for 230 or 240 Volts.WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.

If you’re going to replace the transformer you might consider replacing it with an AC/DC power supply that has a universal MAINS input (100 to 240VAC) and the 3 outputs you need +5 and +/- 15vdc. Look at Traco, Mean Well for 250mA power supplies. They make some that are totally sealed with screw terminals. You’ll have to remove the voltage regulators
on the circuit board and maybe filter caps, but that’s simple and now you have a universal power input that you take take anywhere in the world. Just a suggestion.
