Very sad. He and I had a few good conversations about technical stuff.
It is true what they say; "The older one gets, the fewer friends one has".

    See you later friend.

If you can't fix it, I probably can.

Yeah I remember reading about this in a letter between Steve Ahola and Enzo from back in 2002. This was a file that is on Steve's old site BlueGuitar.net (.org). So I am posting it here in this thread in case other members never saw this letter from Enzo to Steve.

Really will miss Enzo! And I'm sure all of us agree, too soon gone. Death don't have no mercy in this land.

Condolences to Wenzo, family, and personal friends. They don't make 'em like that any more.
This isn't the future I signed up for.

This is terrible news. Guy was a genius. He helped me so much. It won't be the same without him.
It's weird, because it WAS working fine.....

Ohh I just read the news!
Enzo was the cornerstone of this forum. It's difficult to put into words what his loss means to this community. Rest in Peace, friend. Ugh,.. this is really sad news..

It is so strange to be reading the regular repair threads and be like "this is where Enzo pops in and asks ..."

One thing to keep in mind about Enzo was his amazing flexibility, while old he was very open to learning, debate and change.

While he became a legend on these and other internet pages he was initially, unsure of their utility. See his 1997 Letter to the Editor in Electronics Now (below), now ironically available online. https://worldradiohistory.com/Archiv...nics/90s/1997/
But he jumped in and SWAM, taking a ton of us in his wake!

He was also a complete HOOT, battling SGM with the best of them and savage in his dislike of Dan Savage, seen in a hilarious letter in his local paper about 1/3 of the way down a (fittingly RED) page.

I hope to retain my powers of reason, humor, adaptation, joie de vivre and engagement to some small degree of what Enzo did.

If memory serves Enzo became part of this forum only two or three years later Maybe he was just hoping to do his best combatting disinformation? But he ended up becoming a teacher for many of us that were still learning and THAT is a legacy. Very few of us live so gracefully that our example affects culture or the world in a recognizable way. Enzo did that.

This is sad news and part of this forum surely died with him. His even-tempered, unselfish attitude to help - always - truly set an example.
                        My condolences.

I read this news over the weekend while I was out doing shows. I hate to type on the phone so thought I'd wait and let it process a bit. It didn't. I'm still lost for words, so this is steam of consciousness and excuse the ramble.

I never met Enzo in person, wouldn't recognize his voice, and would likely walk right by him on the street. BUT I, like many of you, felt like he was a good friend. What I liked most about Enzo was his mix of intelligence, wisdom, common sense, humor, and wit all rolled into one package. He kept all of us in check with his wisdom and common sense. He kept the place fun with his humor and wit. He was basically the Godfather of this forum and others. It's hard to describe how much he will be missed. I wonder how long it will be before I can read a thread and not, for a moment, wonder why Enzo hasn't responded yet. I will miss seeing the sumo ski avatar and reading what's next to it. I could go on forever, but I think everyone here feels the same way and not much else really needs to be said.

My heartfelt condolences to family and friends.
                            RIP Enzo
