Knowing Enzo as I did... His MO in this circumstance would be to back off and let us have our peace on the matter. Goin on about his considerable attributes and "our feelings" etc. But it could only go on for so long before he'd tell us to "cram it" He wouldn't mean it though.

I'm new to this forum but I've had help from Enzo on other forums on the past. He was very generous with his knowledge, a cool no nonsense guy. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear this and I agree with all the comments. I don't know of any other person who has helped so many not just in the USA.
When many of us were frustrated with some minor problem he had this great ability to help without being condescending in any way.
He was one in a million - people like him are the cornerstone of our scattered society today. I think he has imparted a little of himself in all of us
who were fortunate to interact with him. Thank you Enzo. Condolences to his family and friends.

I've been going back through my posts and reading all the help Enzo has given me in my short time here. I have a lot of beginner's questions and he was always there to answer them. In one instance I was obsessing over some minutia on a project that was working perfectly, and he said to me...

                Oh, no...
I can't count how many times he has helped me over the years.

Condolences to all his family and friends and I hope it may console you even a small amount of how kind he was with his knowledge, patience and time.

                RIP

I have a 70's Peavey on the bench today. I had a question about how something worked, and automatically thought of Enzo for the answer. Then I remembered, and I was sad.
It's weird, because it WAS working fine.....

very sad news. Seems like he was around a very long time since the early ampage days.

He had a lot of life experience, so I'm glad I got to hear all his stories about the past, and the funny stuff with Mrs. Wenzo printing his face on a whoopee cushion, "Enzo Claus", and the cooking, and of course his vast wealth of knowledge about the tech stuff and troubleshooting expertise.

I imagine it's going to be tough especially for his family and close friends to get used to living without him. With life, loss is sort of the other side of the coin, but I think it can be comforting to remember and appreciate.

(bear with me...) if you could imagine a parallel universe, where there was an "anti-Enzo" who had the exact opposite characteristics--a stern and dour man, who wasn't engaging or funny, who burnt down kitchens, and blew up amps instead of repairing them, and ran amok on the internet giving out bad advice, spreading lies and disinformation ("If you stick enough mustard caps in your Hiwatt, it turns it into a Marshall." "The REAL TRUTH (that the government doesn't want you to know) is that surface mount technology was really meant for squirrels"), and ran people over with his mobility scooter wearing a santa suit ON PURPOSE--this would be a terrible person to have around, so I'm really glad Enzo was exactly who he was. :0)

                      RIP Enzo/Doug

I've been on this forum for about 5 years now and I am always amazed at the number of posts he volunteered his time to. I would also see his posts in other forums as well and I thought to myself, "my goodness this guy is everywhere!" I never met him, couldn't tell you what he looks like but after reading so many of his posts I kind of felt a kinship to the man. I will be forever grateful for the help I received (some of that help a mere few weeks ago) and I will always be thankful that we have this forum to cement his knowledge and legacy for eternity. RIP Enzo, here's hoping the good Lord needs a good electronics tech cause he sure got a doozy!

I'm 68 years old and have been repairing and troubleshooting since I was 16. I hope that before I die I can become 1/10 as good at it is Enzo was. He could troubleshoot a problem even with a half-baked description. He was very gracious in the few private conversations we had, as well. His passing makes me very sad. I wish I could have met him in person. RIP.

So very sad to hear this. Enzo was a font of knowledge, and the electronics world will be lessened by this loss.
