You can include me in that. I don't drink on Mondays to prove I'm not addicted.

The machine don't function without maintaining proper levels of coolant, lubes & fuel.

Ugh, huge case of "no brakes" here. Most nights I can't start. Maybe once a month I'll crack a beer, half the time I won't finish it. Once I do get started though...

Just last weekend, opened and drank over half a liter of plain ol' Crown Royal. After a couple shots of the northern harvest rye and a shot of Chivas.

That happens to me once or twice a year. Other than that I only drink socially - I like being drunk and I don't like talking to people at parties. Horrible mix. I have to come up with strategies to keep that from getting out of hand. Mostly listened to vinyl on new year's eve, so one drink per record.

Then again, I have the same problem with candy.

Very easy for me to want to drink one of these everyday. They are 22oz and about 10% alcohol so might as well be 3 beers but you can still say, "hey Im just havin a beer." Always important to reward yourself after a hard days work. Let the good times roll.

I never had a drinking problem. I did drink a lot, but I drank because I hung out in bars. If I was home, I didn't drink much at all. In later years they came out with the low alcohol and zero alcohol beers, so I drank those. I usually have one drink when I have one, and never more than two in a day. I always had brakes. I am fortunate. MY dad came home from the office every night and made up a quart mason jar of gin with a dash of vermouth... and drank it. I did not inherit that gene.

I can't really blame the booze if you feel bad after having 12 of them.

I enjoy the drink, and I enjoy a touch of the warm glow, but frankly I'd rather be sharp of mind, than drunk. Nothing is less interesting than drunken college students in a bar.

The way my brother puts it: You have to change the "coping fluid" daily.

That's a fine beer. I do the same thing sometimes. Just have one bomber of something bigger. I tend to enjoy it more and pee less that way too. I just can't afford a seven or eight dollar beer every day.

So when did Wayno rejoin Piraro on the Bizarro strip? I'll have to check my archives of comics... (I can access every Bizarro, Doonesbury and dozens of other strips going back a year and a half - its in my archive of the SF Chronicle abd SJ Mercury News papers to which I subscribe.)

Both funny, but doesn't it belong in the "humor" thread? I know it says "humor" in the title of THIS thread, but I didn't see it as being all about humor.?.
