It's early for acknowledging or celebrating, but never too early for good wishes. I hope one and all have a productive, fulfilling, healthy, and peaceful year, chock full of love and accomplishments you're proud of.

May all your solder joints be decent and never cold. May all your cables provides glitch/crackle-free connections. May your tubes and pickups sound exactly as you wanted them to. May all those you hold close never let you down, and never get let down by you.

And for crying out loud, can we just go 6 months without some giant in the music world croaking (or being sued for "sexual misconduct")?

Same as you, but we take a little bit of a head start. Kind of a reverse Mulligan.

When do Canadians celebrate New Years?

Once it gets warm enough. It is FRIGGING COLD right now! My city (Ottawa) was officially the coldest national capital on the face of the earth the other day. We apparently beat out Ulan Batar (Mongolia) by a few degrees.

Actually, a number of planned festivities, including those on Parliament Hill, have been cancelled, out of concern for the health of the party-goers. When frost-bite sets in after 15 minutes, but one has to line up for 20 to get a cup of cocoa to warm up, it's time to put things off for another day.
