Ampeg Gemini II Tremolo HELP..?

I have an Ampeg Gemini II G-15 Head with separate cabinet (1966). It did not work when I got it, but I fixed it up and it works great now. Just one thing... the tremolo doesn't work. I heard that you can't fix them, and then I heard you might be able to. So I ask, is there anyone who has fixed one? Please share what you did. I would like to get mine working again. I'm thinking the light burnt out somewhere over the years.
